Misagh Mansouri, PhD, is a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his doctoral studies in Mechanical Engineering at University of Tennessee in 2015. His PhD work focused on dynamics simulation and neuromuscular control of balance in children with cerebral palsy.
Research Interest Summary
Musculoskeletal modeling, dynamics simulation, prosthetic control, biomechanics, neuroprosthetics, rehabilitation
Dr. Mansouri’s research interests include dynamics simulation, neuromuscular control, optimization, signal processing and advanced prosthetics control with sensory feedback to improve the quality of life for people with amputation or neuromuscular disorders such as stroke and cerebral palsy.
